Babar Khan Javed has built his career around brand journalism.

Fresh out of college, Babar co-founded Sociality 360, the first social media agency in Pakistan. After growing the business for three years, he sold his stake one of the “Big Four” agency companies in 2012. He went on to work on the client side of the table, as a brand manager in fashion, and a marketing manager in enterprise software.

After taking a long overdue sabbatical, he moved to Malaysia and joined iProspect in 2015 as its Chief Content Officer, leading the search based content marketing strategy practice. Managing a team of eight writers and editors, he led campaigns for P1, Smart Axiata, TuneTalk, Marini’s Group, MAC, Clinique and the Estée Lauder Companies.

In 2016, he successfully graduated from the Singapore-campus of Google Digital Academy with a master’s certificate in digital strategy.

Shortly thereafter he joined Centric DXB, leading the APAC Expansion as the Country General Manager. In this role, he is credited with launching the Insights platform, guiding the seasoned advertising & technology practitioners of the agency in sharing their perspectives, ideas, and (you guessed it) insights with respect to their specialities.

The C-suite of the agency has since been published in CMS Wire, Gulf Business, AdAge, Brand Quarterly, Gulf Marketing Review, The National, and Entrepreneur Magazine.

Today he is the Technology Editor for Campaign Asia, the authoritative voice of the media, marketing and advertising community in the APAC region.

Since April 2017, Babar has been a member of the Quora Millionaire Club, a title achieved within one month of consistent quality writing.
